Olivia Faust is a Canadian artist and maker of enchanted things. She enjoys creating work that is hauntingly whimsical and works in a variety of mediums; including ink, clay and felting wool. But her true love lies with gouache paint. Olivia’s work is inspired by her obsession with of folklore, horror and vintage kitsch. Her paintings often feature macabre themes, with a sweet pastel twist.
Coming up with a unique colour palette is her favourite part of any piece. Through her use of colour, she always aims to capture a nostalgic and retro atmosphere.
As a child, her favourite picture books were ones that had illustrations filled to the brim with tiny details. She tries to capture that same magic within her own work, telling a story in each piece she creates, with all of the little details there to discover.

When not creating, Olivia can be found spending hours in antique shops, ghost-watching in graveyards, and drinking lots of tea.
